Application for Membership

We aim to make joining the Rhyll Yacht Club as simple as possible. The first step is to fill out the Membership Application Form. You will need to be Nominated (Proposed) and Seconded by existing club members. If you do not know any members please contact a committee member or email [email protected] and they will arrange for the nomination. There is an application fee of $50.00 to be submitted with your application. Your application will be formally processed at the next Committee Meeting. You will then be sent an Annual Membership Form according to the membership classification applied for.

Additional Fees and Responsibilities

One of our key objectives with the classifications of membership and subscription fee structure is to make the sport of sailing, through the Rhyll Yacht Club, accessible and affordable. This is uppermost in our minds when setting fees. To achieve the lowest possible fee structure we aim to keep our running costs as low as possible and this is managed by reliance on club members to contribute time and expertise in maintaining the facilities and running fundraising activities. We also seek assistance from Local Council and State Government Authorities through their grants programs. A Working Bee Levy of $80 is payable by all Family and Adult Memberships who do not attend at least one working bee during the year. This can be paid in advance if it is known that the member will not be attending a working bee, or in arrears if a working bee is not attended in the previous season. A one-off $50 deposit is required in order to receive a key. If you would like more information, please email [email protected] and you will be contacted by the appropriate committee member.
